grymalkyn's Xanga Site - Weblog

grymalkyn's Xanga Site - Weblog: "Phew! what a busy half-year ...

It's currently raining, the first for many days and a right downpour, what we all have to get used to now the Earth is changing how she works because of pollution. The plants seem less bothered about it than me although they've changes their seasons.for instance ...

I finished harvesting all the gooseberries by the first week of JUne
I was eating strawberries in May althought the main flush is just happening now
All the raspberries are off, including the autumn ones! Picked a good bowl-full yesterday
Got most of the blackcurrants picked yesterday and the reds and whites are coming on strongly
My overwinter crop of broad beans is all picked, some eaten lots frozen
The other veg are all doing well, getting regular 501 sprays on therelevant days, and the roses are a real treat - when it stops raining I'll get pix."
