Well ... that fell off the perch! I can't use that place for the workshops so shall probably go back to doing them on Exmoor, which I do know better admitedly but I still like the idea of using Dartmoor. The tow moors are sooooooooooo different, different rock for a start - Dartmoor is granite and Exmoor is the very ancient Old Red Sandstone of the Devonian era. the feel of the two is quite different as well.
I think I can still hire the cottage - as an ordinary tourist - so I may go with a bunch of friends. Would be good if we could do a week on one moor and then a week on the other. Hmmm! We'll see.
